The Sensex and Nifty indices are currently experiencing a notable uptrend, with gains of 0.88% and 0.97%, respectively. This bullish momentum is not limited to the primary indices, as the Nifty Midcap shows substantial growth of 1.32%, and the Nifty Smallcap follows closely with a noteworthy increase of 1.2%. 

In terms of sectors, Nifty Pharma, Nifty Media, and Nifty Metal are the frontrunners, reflecting a positive sentiment and robust performance within these segments. Importantly, there are currently no major sectors showing underperformance, indicating the overall strength and resilience of the market. 

Among the top gainers in the Nifty 50, notable names include Hindalco, NTPC, and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, while Adani Enterprises, LTIMindtree, and Asian Paints are facing some challenges.

Tube Investments of India

Tube Investments of India Limited (TII) is one of India’s leading manufacturers of a wide range of products for major industries such as automotive, railway, construction, mining, agriculture, etc. The stock has witnessed a substantial surge in trading volume, increasing by more than 249 times and traded at Rs 3037.65 apiece on BSE, down by 2.01%. 

Authum Investment & Infrastructure

Authum Investment & Infrastructure Limited is engaged in the business of fund-based activities viz, investment in shares, securities, mutual funds, etc., and providing loans and advances, etc. The stock has experienced a significant spike in trading volume, surging by more than 297 times, and has hit the 20% upper circuit level, trading at Rs 482.60 per share on the BSE. 

NTPC

NTPC Ltd, along with its subsidiaries and JVs, is primarily involved in the generation and sale of bulk power to state power utilities. The stock has seen a substantial increase in trading volume, rising by more than 2.23 times, trading 3.51% higher at Rs 246.15 per share on the BSE. 

Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation

Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation is primarily engaged in two sectors – mining and power. The stock has witnessed a significant surge in trading volume, increasing by more than 4.54 times, trading up by 12% at Rs 319 per share on the BSE. 

Glenmark Pharmaceuticals

Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd is a global research-led pharmaceutical company with a presence across generics, specialty, and OTC business, with operations in over 80 countries. The stock has experienced a substantial increase in trading volume, rising by more than 5.67 times, and is currently trading 10.36% higher at Rs 858.55 per share on the BSE.
