Wardwizard Drives Philippines’ Electric Vehicle Revolution with Landmark Order

Wardwizard Innovations & Mobility Limited (WIML), a leading Indian electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer known for its “Joy e-bike” and “Joy e-rik” brands, has secured a monumental order valued at USD 1.29 billion. This significant deal comes from Beulah International Development Corporation, a prominent full-service business integrator and EPC firm in the Philippines backed by RP Connect.

Electrifying Public Transportation

The partnership signifies a strategic collaboration formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at revolutionising the Philippines’ public transportation system with clean and efficient electric vehicles. WIML will fulfil this order by delivering a range of electric vehicles from its existing portfolio, including two-wheelers, three-wheelers (both commercial and passenger variants), and specially developed four-wheelers for commercial use in the Philippines.

Signing the Future

The MoU signing ceremony was a momentous occasion, witnessed by Mr Shreyas Kurhekar, Head of Production and Business Development (Exports) for WIML, and Ms Nadia Arroyo, President of Beulah International Development Corporation, along with esteemed representatives from both organisations.

Beyond Vehicles, Building a Brighter Future

This collaboration transcends mere vehicle deliveries. It envisions a multifaceted transformation of the Philippines’ transportation landscape. Key objectives include:

• Introducing innovative EV technology: WIML will introduce cutting-edge electric vehicle technology, paving the way for a cleaner and more sustainable transportation ecosystem in the Philippines.
• Job creation: The partnership is expected to create significant job opportunities, fostering economic growth within the Philippines.
• Supporting the local economy: The collaboration aims to empower the local Philippine economy through strategic partnerships and potential manufacturing initiatives.

This strategic partnership aligns perfectly with the Philippine government’s ambitious Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP). This program, spearheaded by the Department of Transportation, aims to modernise the nation’s public transportation system by replacing outdated gasoline and diesel vehicles with modern, eco-friendly electric alternatives.
