Angel One welcomed Meenal Maheshwari Shah as the Group General Counsel. Having a remarkable career of over 14 years, Meenal brings a wealth of experience in handling diverse legal transactions, navigating intricate legal environments and providing insightful counsel on legal, policy and regulatory matters. Her background includes notable leadership roles where she has excelled as General Counsel, providing essential advice to companies in India and internationally.

In her role as Group General Counsel for Angel One, Meenal will focus on strengthening the company’s legal and policy frameworks. As an experienced legal strategist, she is adept at collaborating closely with businesses to set up corporate structures and governance models. Her expertise also includes the development and execution of efficient processes and policies, showcasing a comprehensive skill set that contributes to the strategic success of organisations.

Meenal was honoured as one of Forbes India’s Top 50 General Counsels in 2022. During her time as Group Legal Director & Data Protection Officer at Lemmatree PTE Ltd, she was instrumental in establishing the legal function. Before joining Lemmatree PTE Ltd, Meenal headed the Legal Counsel function at renowned companies like the Essar Group and Times of India. Before transitioning to an in-house counsel role, Meenal was in private practice at Khaitan & Co.
