The Board of Directors of the Bank of India approved the issuance of long-term infrastructure bonds worth ₹5,000 crore. The approval was granted during a board meeting held on January 23, 2025. According to the bank’s press release, the bonds will be issued for 10 years.

Share Performance

On January 23, 2025, Bank Of India’s share price ended up 0.86% at ₹99.80. Bank Of India’s share price reached a 52-week high of ₹158 on April 30, 2024, and a 52-week low of ₹90 on January 13, 2025. As per BSE, the total traded volume for the stock stood at 2 lakh shares with a turnover of ₹1.98 crore.

At the current price, Bank of India shares are trading at a price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of 6.15x, based on its trailing 12-month earnings per share (EPS) of ₹16.22, and a price-to-book (P/B) ratio of 0.63, according to exchange data.

Shareholding Details

As of December 31, 2024, Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) held a 2.92% stake in Bank Of India shares, while Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) owned 16.40%, and the promoters held 73.38%.

Bank of India Q2 FY25 Results

Bank of India (BoI) reported a significant year-on-year (Y-o-Y) increase in net profit, reaching ₹2,374 crore for the second quarter of the current financial year (Q2 FY25). This growth was primarily driven by an increase in non-interest income, including treasury gains and recoveries.

BoI’s Net Interest Income (NII) grew to ₹5,986 crore in Q2 FY25, up from ₹5,740 crore in the same quarter of the previous year. However, the bank’s Net Interest Margin (NIM) experienced a slight dip, declining to 3.08% in Q2 FY25 compared to 3.07% in Q1 FY25. Despite this, the NIM remains in line with the bank’s strategic goals.
