The Ministry of Coal has announced a substantial increase in coal production and dispatch during the first quarter (Q1) of the current financial year (FY25), spanning April 1, 2024, to June 30, 2024. These figures represent a significant improvement compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year (FY24).
Overall coal production witnessed a remarkable 35% year-on-year (YoY) growth, rising from 29.26 Million Tonnes (MT) in Q1 FY24 to 39.53 MT in Q1 FY25. Dispatch figures mirrored this positive trend, with a 34.25% YoY increase, reaching 45.68 MT in Q1 FY25 compared to 34.07 MT in Q1 FY24.
