On September 5, 2024, EKI Energy Services Ltd unveiled EKI Academy, a new educational initiative designed to train individuals and organisations in environmental services. The Academy aims to cultivate a new generation of climate advocates through a comprehensive curriculum covering key areas such as GHG footprint accounting, carbon offset project development, and ESG and sustainability practices.
The company stated that the EKI Academy is set to become a pivotal player in the environmental sector by offering specialised courses tailored to the rising need for expertise in sustainability and carbon management.
The EKI Academy’s programs offer a comprehensive range of training to enhance expertise in environmental services. Key offerings include GHG Accounting and Carbon Credit Masterclasses for professionals, ISO and IMS Training to ensure effective management systems, and Carbon Neutrality Awareness Programs to promote achieving carbon neutrality.
The Academy also provides focused training on Sustainability and Net Zero Services, Climate Change Services covering impact assessments and adaptation strategies, and Sustainability and ESG Services to integrate critical criteria into operations. Additional programs include Green Certification and Resource Efficiency Services for reducing environmental impact, and Climate Investments and Community-Based Projects to drive significant environmental and social benefits.
The EKI Academy will also delve into advanced areas such as Nature-Based Solutions (NBS), Extended Producer Responsibilities (EPR) & Plastic Credits Projects, and the operationalisation of Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. These specialised programs demonstrate EKI’s commitment to leading the way in environmental services and fostering innovation in the sector.
