After winding up six of its debt funds in April 2020, Franklin Templeton (India) announced the launch of its first fixed-income fund.Franklin India Ultra Short Duration Fund (FIUSDF) will invest in debt and money market instruments such as non-convertible debentures (NCDs), bonds, certificates of deposits, commercial papers, treasury bills and government securities such that the Macaulay duration of the portfolio is between three and six months.
The Franklin Templeton-India fund aims to provide returns that are comparable to moderate credit risk for both institutional and individual investors, as stated by the president of Franklin Templeton-India on August 16.On August 19th, the New Fund Offer (NFO) will begin and end on August 28th. Rs 10 will be charged for each unit.
