GMR Airports announced achieving its highest-ever passenger traffic in December 2024, handling 1.08 crore passengers, a 9% year-on-year (YoY) and 6% month-on-month (MoM) increase. Aircraft movements for December also grew 7% YoY and 5% MoM, reaching 64,364. In YTD FY25, GMR Airports set new records with 88.8 million passengers and 0.55 million aircraft movements.

Delhi Airport: Highest Monthly Traffic and Record Cargo Volumes

Delhi Airport handled over 7 million passengers in December 2024, its highest monthly traffic ever, reflecting a 6.7% YoY growth. Domestic traffic contributed 5.1 million passengers, up 7.1% YoY, while international traffic accounted for 1.9 million passengers, up 5.5% YoY.

The airport also achieved record cargo volumes, managing 0.83 million metric tonnes in YTD FY25, marking a 13.8% YoY increase, further solidifying its position as a critical logistics hub.

Hyderabad Airport: Busiest Month Ever

Hyderabad Airport reported its busiest month ever, handling 2.7 million passengers in December 2024, a significant 20.1% YoY increase. Domestic passenger traffic surged by 23.2% YoY to 2.3 million, while international traffic rose by 6.1% YoY to 0.43 million.

On December 22, 2024, the airport recorded a single-day passenger traffic high of 92,000, highlighting its growing capacity and demand.

Mopa (Goa) Airport: International Traffic Surge

Mopa Airport in Goa handled 0.42 million passengers in December, contributing to 3.4 million passengers in YTD FY25. Following the launch of international operations in July 2023, the airport saw a remarkable 227.5% YoY growth in international passenger traffic, showcasing its growing importance in connecting Goa to global destinations.

Stock Performance 

On January 20, 2025, GMR Airport share price traded up by 1.27% at 10:12 AM (IST) ₹77.05. GMR Airport’s share price reached a 52-week high of ₹103.70 on July 31, 2024, and a 52-week low of ₹69.29 on January 13, 2025. As per BSE, the total traded volume for the stock stood at 1.77 lakh shares with a turnover of ₹1.25 crore.
