Gold Prices Surge on January 2, 2025
Gold prices remained positive in the second trading session of 2025, supported by a flat dollar. In the international market, spot gold rose by 0.30% to $2,632.39 as of 10:17 AM IST.
In India, gold prices surged on January 2, 2025. The 24-carat gold price in Mumbai increased by ₹310 to ₹75,810 per 10 grams, while the 1-gram price rose by ₹31 to ₹7,581.
For 22-carat gold, the rate in Mumbai climbed ₹300 to ₹72,200 per 10 grams and ₹30 for 1 gram.
In Delhi, the 24-carat gold price gained ₹420 to ₹76,130 per 10 grams, and the 1-gram price increased by ₹42. In Kolkata, prices remained firm, with 24-carat gold up by ₹310 to ₹76,860 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold up by ₹300.
