The Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) is a government-backed health insurance scheme aimed at providing free medical coverage to vulnerable sections of society, including senior citizens above 70 years of age. Senior citizens or their family members can download the Ayushman Bharat app from the Google Play Store or visit the official website. The app allows users to select their preferred language for seamless navigation.
Click on the ‘Login as beneficiary’ option, enter the ‘captcha,’ and provide a mobile number. An OTP will be sent to the mobile number for verification. After logging in, navigate to the senior citizen enrolment section available on the home screen.
To verify identity, enter the Aadhaar number and complete validation through an OTP sent to the registered mobile number. Then, select the state of residence and proceed.
The portal will check whether the senior citizen is already registered under the scheme. If not, users can initiate a fresh application.

Once all required details are provided, submit the application for approval. Upon approval, the Ayushman card is issued to the beneficiary, enabling access to the scheme’s health benefits.
