India to Host BRICS Youth Council Entrepreneurship Working Group Meeting in March 2025

The Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, is set to organise the BRICS Youth Council Entrepreneurship Working Group Meeting from March 3 to 7, 2025. Themed ‘Youth Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Growth,’ the meeting will witness participation from approximately 45 youth representatives from BRICS nations.

Key Objectives of the Meeting

The Working Group Meeting will serve as a platform for representatives of the BRICS Youth Council to exchange policies, programs, and cooperation prospects in the field of entrepreneurship. The discussions will focus on:

• Establishing the BRICS Youth Council Entrepreneurship Working Group.
• Reviewing and discussing the entrepreneurship work plans of BRICS nations.
• Exploring concrete actions for youth cooperation in entrepreneurship.
• Creating new youth engagement formats within the BRICS framework and Working Groups Meetings.
• Connecting participants to international entrepreneurship opportunities within BRICS nations.

Run-Up Events to Engage Youth at Grassroots Level

To enhance youth understanding of the BRICS Youth Council Entrepreneurship Working Group Meeting, the Department of Youth Affairs has planned eight run-up events at various universities and colleges across India. These events aim to foster discussions on entrepreneurship and disseminate India’s agenda on youth entrepreneurship to a wider audience.

These run-up events serve as forums for panel discussions featuring talented youth speakers on pre-identified areas of entrepreneurship. Additionally, they aim to enhance young people’s understanding of global economic issues, develop an international perspective, and highlight the significance of multilateral forums like BRICS.

By fostering dialogue on entrepreneurship and international cooperation, the BRICS Youth Council Entrepreneurship Working Group Meeting is expected to strengthen ties among BRICS nations and empower youth to drive sustainable economic growth.
