On June 10, 2024, Domino’s, the largest quick-service restaurant (QSR) chain in India, revealed the inauguration of its 2000th store in the nation. To mark this significant milestone, the brand expanded its footprint by launching seven new stores strategically located within its seven operational regions nationwide. Since its first store in New Delhi in 1996, Domino’s Pizza India has steadily grown, boasting an impressive annual serving of over 200 million pizzas through its extensive network of 2,000 stores across 421 cities.
Domino’s Pizza has shown impressive growth in India. While it took over 16 years to open the first 500 stores, the last 500 were established in just 29 months. Domino’s is often the pioneer international chain that ventures into new cities like Sasaram, Sultanpur, Madikeri, Girdih, and Baramati. They’re creative in setting up stores in various locations such as high streets, malls, highways, colleges, and airport terminals, catering to different customer needs. Even after COVID-19, Domino’s has opened a new store every two days, quickly providing customers with delicious food for dine-in or under 30-minute delivery.
Throughout its journey, Domino’s has adapted its pizza offerings to suit the tastes of Indian customers. It has introduced innovations like the Paratha pizza and customised toppings to cater to the diverse palates of millions of young Indians. The company has also continued its promise of delivering pizzas within 30 minutes.
In honour of reaching the 2000-store landmark, Domino’s India has been bestowed with a notable accolade from the Guinness World Records for the ‘Largest Pizza Box Number.’ This marks the first instance of any QSR brand in India achieving such recognition.
