On June 19, 2024, Lemon Tree Hotels announced they would manage a new hotel in Morbi, Gujarat, India. The hotel is expected to open in the fiscal year 2029.
Morbi, located on the Kathiawar peninsula in Gujarat, has a rich history and cultural heritage. It used to be the capital of the Morvi State and is known as India’s “ceramics capital” because of its thriving pottery industry. Besides its business importance, Morbi is famous for landmarks like the Morbi Palace and the Hanging Bridge, which unfortunately collapsed in 2022.
Lemon Tree Hotel in Morbi will have 75 comfortable rooms, a restaurant, a banquet hall, a meeting room, a spa, and a swimming pool. It’s approximately 65 kilometres from Rajkot International Airport and about 12 kilometres from Morbi Railway Station. The hotel is easily accessible by road for both public and private transportation.
