By 12 PM, the BSE Sensex had risen by 288 points, or 0.37%, to reach 78,253. Meanwhile, the Nifty50 was up by 122 points, or 0.52%, at 23,773.45.
The broader markets also saw gains, with the Nifty Midcap 100 rising by 0.83% and the Nifty Smallcap 100 increasing by 0.87%. The India VIX, a measure of market volatility, dropped by 6.35% to 14.66.
