Over the decades, NBCC has earned a reputation for its innovative approach, commitment to quality, timely project delivery, and a dedicated workforce, making it an undisputed leader in the industry.
NBCC’s operations are broadly divided into three main segments:
NBCC’s shares surged by 8% on Friday following the announcement of a substantial work order valued at approximately Rs 15,000 crore. The contract, secured from the Srinagar Development Authority (SDA), involves the development of a satellite township spread over 406 acres at Rakh-e-Gund Aksha, Bemina, Srinagar (J&K). This significant project marks a milestone in NBCC’s portfolio, further cementing its leadership in urban development.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between SDA and NBCC India Limited was signed on Thursday, outlining the project’s development in the Bemina area of Srinagar. The project site, strategically located adjacent to the upcoming Medi City and High Court Complex, is set to transform into a vibrant township over the next five years.
The project will be executed in phases and will encompass a wide range of facilities, including:
– Residential plots
– Development of villas and apartments
– Commercial offices
– Indoor sports center
– 5-star resorts with modern amenities
Additionally, the project plans to include approximately 3,200 affordable housing flats of 45 sqm each. The development will be self-sustaining, with funding generated from the sale of villas, commercial spaces, and other components of the project.
Upon completion, this satellite township is expected to become the New Town Centre for Srinagar’s residents and a hub for tourists. The project’s scale and scope highlight NBCC’s capability to deliver large-scale urban developments that meet modern needs while contributing to regional growth.
