NSE Adds 6 New Stocks to Futures & Options Segment Effective January 31, 2025

The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) announced on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, the inclusion of 6 new securities in its Futures and Options (F&O) segment. These changes will come into effect from January 31, 2025.

New Inclusions in F&O Segment

The stocks to be included are:

The inclusions follow the stock selection criteria set forth by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) in its August 30, 2024 circular. NSE stated that SEBI has approved the addition of these securities.

Market Lot and Strike Prices Details

NSE informed that the market lot size and scheme of strike prices for the newly added securities will be communicated to investors via a separate circular on January 30, 2025. The applicable quantity freeze for these securities will also be detailed in the contract file, which will take effect from the trading date, January 31, 2025.

45 Stocks Added to Derivatives in November 2024

In November 2024, NSE had introduced 45 new stocks into the derivatives segment. The circular issued at that time stated that contracts for several notable companies were made available for trading from November 29, 2024. The additions included:

E-Commerce & Technology Sector

Real Estate & Infrastructure Sector

Utility Sector

Banking Sector

16 Stocks to Be Excluded from F&O Segment in February 2025

NSE also announced the exclusion of 16 stocks from the F&O segment, effective February 28, 2025. Contracts for these stocks will no longer be available for trading from this date. The excluded stocks are:

Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare Sector

Chemicals & Fertilizers Sector

Footwear Sector

Financial & Banking Sector

E-Commerce & Technology Sector
