Sheela Foam Ltd, the makers of Sleepwell mattresses, reported a year-on-year (YoY) decline in net profit for the third quarter of FY25, totalling ₹18.8 crore, compared to ₹30.8 crore in the same period last year.
Despite this drop in profit, the company saw a solid increase in revenue from operations, which reached ₹967.1 crore in Q3 FY25, up from ₹878.9 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
At the operating level, Sheela Foam’s EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation) reached ₹87.9 crore in Q3 FY25, compared to ₹76.2 crore in Q3 FY24. The company’s EBITDA margin improved to 9.1%, up from 8.7% in the previous year.
Sheela Foam reported impressive volume growth in its mattress (BC business) segment, with a 24% YoY increase in Q3 FY25. The Sleepwell brand led this growth, recording a 53% YoY rise in volumes, while Kurlon grew by 13% YoY.
The e-commerce segment also showed record growth, becoming the second-largest online mattress brand in India. The company’s B2B and other business segments posted high growth rates as well.
Additionally, Furlenco, Sheela Foam’s furniture rental business, expanded into two new cities and achieved strong growth in its subscriber base, further contributing to the company’s overall positive performance in the quarter.
On January 31, 2025, Sheela Foam share price traded 2.19% lower at ₹897. Sheela Foam’s share price reached a 52-week high of ₹1,7170.00 on February 06, 2024, and a 52-week low of ₹775.15 on November 18, 2024. As per BSE, the total traded volume for the stock stood at 4175 shares with a turnover of ₹37.45 lakhs.
At the current price, Sheela Foam India shares are trading at a price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of 66.31x, based on its trailing 12-month earnings per share (EPS) of ₹34.88, and a price-to-book (P/B) ratio of 55.88, according to exchange data.
