The GIFT Nifty futures were trading 92.15 points lower at 23,190.5 around 7:30 AM on January 3, 2025. In the last session, the 30-share Sensex rose 1,436.30 points (1.83%) to close at 79,943.71, while the NSE Nifty50 climbed 445.75 points (1.88%) to end at 24,188.65.

Here are the key stocks in focus for today:

  • Avenue Supermarts (DMart)

Avenue Supermarts Ltd, which operates the retail chain DMart, reported a 17.5% year-on-year growth in standalone revenue from operations for Q3 FY25. The company recorded revenues of ₹15,565.23 crore for the quarter ending December 31, 2024.

  • Bank of Maharashtra

Bank of Maharashtra’s Q3 business update highlighted a 21.19% year-on-year growth in gross advances, reaching ₹2,28,652 crore, compared to ₹1,88,670 crore last year. Its CASA deposits increased by 11.5%, rising to ₹1,37,504 crore from ₹1,23,322 crore.

  • Hindustan Zinc

Hindustan Zinc’s mined metal production dropped 2% year-on-year to 2,65,000 tonnes in FY25 Q3, compared to 2,71,000 tonnes in FY24 Q3. Saleable metal production remained flat at 2,59,000 tonnes.

  • MOIL

MOIL reported its best-ever Q3 performance in October-December 2024. The company produced 4.6 lakh tonnes of manganese ore, while sales reached 3.88 lakh tonnes, up 13% year-on-year.

  • Varun Beverages

Varun Beverages announced an investment of ₹412 crore in its South African subsidiary, Beverage Company Proprietary (Bevco). Bevco manufactures and distributes licensed PepsiCo products and its own non-alcoholic beverages in South Africa.

  • Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M)

The Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) has given approval for incentive claims worth ₹246 crore under the Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for the automobile and auto components industry. Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra submitted these claims.
