Tata Technologies Ltd, a global leader in engineering and product development digital services, announced a strategic partnership with Telechips, a provider of advanced automotive semiconductor solutions. This collaboration aims to develop cutting-edge software solutions for software-defined vehicles (SDVs), driving the evolution of connected, autonomous, and electric mobility.
The partnership between Tata Technologies and Telechips focuses on co-developing scalable platforms for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), cockpit domain controllers, and central and zonal gateway controllers.
Leveraging Tata Technologies’ expertise in automotive software engineering and Telechips’ semiconductor technologies, including SoCs, AI Vision ADAS processors, and network gateway processors, the collaboration seeks to address the integration challenges of SDVs. By enhancing connectivity, safety, and efficiency, the initiative aims to accelerate the global adoption of SDVs and transform the future of mobility.
As the automotive sector transitions to connected, autonomous, and electric vehicles, SDVs are becoming pivotal to this transformation. The partnership will focus on integrating artificial intelligence to improve situational awareness and decision-making for autonomous platforms. Additionally, Telechips’ advanced SoCs will enable faster and more efficient communication between vehicle systems, aligning with the push for sustainable transportation solutions worldwide.
Warren Harris, CEO and Managing Director of Tata Technologies emphasised the significance of this collaboration, stating, “Combining Telechips’ advanced semiconductor technology with our domain expertise will empower automakers to deliver competitive and innovative SDVs.”
