The countdown for the Union Budget 2025 has begun. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the budget in Parliament on February 1, 2025, continuing the long-standing tradition. Despite some concerns about the date falling on a Saturday, previous budgets have also been presented on Saturdays.
The stock markets will be open on Saturday, February 1, 2025, and will operate during regular trading hours from 9:15 AM – 3:30 PM for the budget presentation.
Sitharaman will present the Union Budget on Feb 01, 2025, at 11:00 AM as per the usual time slot. This will be her eighth budget presentation, which includes 2 interim budgets and 6 full budgets.
This will be Sitharaman’s second full budget after the 2024 Lok Sabha election, where the Modi government returned to power for a third term. The Union Budget will likely focus on the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) under the Amrit Kaal theme.
