On Thursday, the benchmark indices were trading in the green with the Sensex up around 215 points or 0.28% at 76,820, while the Nifty-50 was up around 73 points or 0.31% at 23,395. About 2,337 shares have advanced; 1,200 declined and 173 are unchanged on the BSE.
Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex index:
The top Sensex gainers were Tech Mahindra Ltd, Wipro Ltd and HCL Technologies Ltd while the top Sensex losers were Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, ICICI Bank and Hindustan Unilever Ltd.
The indices in the broader markets were trading in the green with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.65% and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.60%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Godrej Properties Ltd and Godrej Industries Ltd. In contrast, KIOCL Ltd and GRM Overseas Ltd were the top small-cap gainers.
The BSE Realty Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE FMCG Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Realty Index gained by 2.10%, up by Sobha Ltd and Macrotech Developers Ltd while the BSE FMCG Index plunged by 0.36%, down by Dhampur Bio Organics Ltd and Associated Alcohols & Breweries Ltd.
In the pre-opening session, these three stocks were trending: Om Infra Ltd, Gensol Engineering Ltd and Integra Essentia Ltd.
