On Friday, the benchmark indices are trading in the green with the Sensex up around 250 points or 0.34% at 73,912, while the Nifty-50 is up around 56 points or 0.25% at 22,459. About 2,281 shares have advanced; 1,204 declined and 167 are unchanged on the BSE.
Top gainers and losers:
The top Sensex gainers are Mahindra & Mahindra, JSW Steel, and UltraTech Cements while the top Sensex losers are Nestle India, Hindustan Unilever, and Larsen and Toubro.
The indices in the broader markets were trading in the green with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.71% and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.83%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers are Crompton Greaves and Endurance Technologies from the Midcap space. In contrast, Honeywell Automation and Voltas are the top mid-cap gainers.
The BSE Consumer Durables and the Auto Index are the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE IT Index is the top losing sector.
