Watch out for these low-priced stocks that were locked in the upper circuit on April 18, 2024

On Thursday, the benchmark indices were trading in the green with the Sensex up around 20 points or 0.02% at 72,970, while the Nifty-50 was up around 32 points or 0.14% at 22,180. About 2,402 shares have advanced; 1,048 declined and 150 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex index:

The top Sensex gainers were Power Grid Corporation Ltd, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd and Larsen & Toubro Ltd while the top Sensex losers were NTPC Ltd, Axis Bank and HCL Technologies Ltd.

The indices in the broader markets were trading in the green with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.64% and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.80%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd and Vodafone Idea Ltd, while the top small-cap gainers were Moschip Technologies Ltd and Solara Active Pharma Sciences Ltd.

All the sectoral indices were trading in the green with the BSE Telecommunication Index and the BSE Services Index being the top gainers. The BSE Telecommunication Index surged by 1.90%, up by GTL Infrastructure Ltd and Indus Towers Ltd while the BSE Services Index surged by 1.20%, up by Navkar Corporation Ltd and SpiceJet Ltd.

In the pre-opening session, these three stocks were trending: Talbros Automotive Components Ltd, Just Dial Ltd and DroneAcharya Aeriel Innovation Ltd.
