On Thursday, the benchmark indices were trading in the green with the Sensex up around 545 points or 0.75% at 73,543, while the Nifty-50 up around 166 points or 0.75% at 22,290. About 2,342 shares have advanced; 1,091 declined; and 131 are unchanged on the BSE.
Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex index:
The top Sensex gainers were Bajaj Finance Ltd, Bajaj FinServ Ltd and ICICI Bank while the top Sensex losers were Axis Bank, Tech Mahindra Ltd and HCL Technologies Ltd.
The indices in the broader markets were trading in green with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.15% and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.75%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd and Canara Bank, while the top small-cap gainers were Repro India Ltd and Century Textiles & Industries Ltd.
The BSE Financial Services Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Realty Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Financial Services Index gained by 0.90%, up by India Shelter Finance Corporation Ltd and Arihant Capital Markets Ltd while the BSE Realty Index is down by 0.25% dragged by Prestige Estates Projects Ltd and Oberoi Realty Ltd.
In the pre-opening session, these three stocks were trending: GOCL Corporation Ltd, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd and Rathi Steel & Power Ltd.
