On Friday, the benchmark indices were trading in the green with the Sensex up around 314 points or 0.42% at 74,215, while the Nifty-50 was up around 88 points or 0.40% at 22,576. About 1,702 shares have advanced; 1,430 declined and 107 are unchanged on the BSE.
Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex index:
The top Sensex gainers were Larsen & Toubro Ltd, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd and Bajaj Finance Ltd while the top Sensex losers were Bharti Airtel Ltd, Kotak Mahindra Ltd and Infosys Ltd.
The indices in the broader markets were trading mixed with the BSE Mid-cap index down 0.10% and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.10%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were GMR Airports Infrastructure Ltd and Vodafone Idea Ltd. In contrast, PTC Industries Ltd and India Nippon Electricals Ltd were the top small-cap gainers.
The BSE Realty Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Information Technology Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Realty Index gained by 0.76%, up by Macrotech Developers Ltd and Prestige Estate Projects Ltd while the BSE Information Technology Index is down by 0.38% dragged by 3I Infotech Ltd and Black Box Ltd.
In the pre-opening session, these three stocks were trending: One 97 Communications Ltd, Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd and Srestha Finvest Ltd.
