On Thursday, the benchmark indices were trading in the green with the Sensex up around 285 points or 0.36% at 80,277, while the Nifty-50 was up around 82 points or 0.34% at 24,368. About 2,126 shares have advanced; 920 declined and 105 are unchanged on the BSE.
Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex index:
The top Sensex gainers were Tata Motors Ltd, ICICI Bank and Infosys Ltd while the top Sensex losers were Bharti Airtel Ltd, IndusInd Bank and HDFC Bank.
The indices in the broader markets were trading in the green with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.35% and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.49%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were JSW Infrastructure Ltd and Lupin Ltd. In contrast, Prime Focus Ltd and Suraj Estate Developers Ltd were the top small-cap gainers.
The BSE IT Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Financial Services Index was the top losing sector. The BSE IT Index gained by 1%, up by Kellton Tech Solutions Ltd and Moschip Technologies Ltd while the BSE Financial Services Index plunged by 0.05%, down by TruCap Finance Ltd and PB Fintech Ltd.
In the pre-opening session, these three stocks were trending: National Peroxide Ltd, Mazagon Dock Shipbuilding Ltd and Inox Wind Ltd.
