Va Tech Wabag Limited (WABAG) informed the stock exchanges that the company has secured an order worth ₹145 crore from Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL).
The project involves designing, engineering, supplying, fabricating, installing, and commissioning desalination water pipelines between CPCL’s Manali Refinery and Kattupalli desalination plant. This significant project will be completed in 12 months, underscoring WABAG’s leadership in the industrial water segment. WABAG’s successful bid was backed by its competitive pricing and technically superior approach, reinforcing its position in the industry.
Commenting on this order win, the Head-Sales and Marketing of India Cluster, Mr S Natrajan, said, “CPCL has been a Key Customer of Wabag and we are happy to be chosen to deliver this project. We thank CPCL for their continued trust and confidence reposed in WABAG.”
Earlier this week, on December 27, 2024, the company announced a strategic win in Africa, securing a €78 million Design, Build & Operate (DBO) order from Lusaka Water Supply and Sanitation Company (LWSC). Funded by the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW), the project marks WABAG’s entry into Zambia, enhancing its leadership in the African water solutions market. This reinforces the company’s expanding footprint across the continent.
Va Tech Wabag Ltd is involved in the business of the water treatment field. Its main activities include the design, supply, installation, construction and operational management of drinking water, industrial water treatment, waste water treatment, and desalination plants.
