Va Tech Wabag, a leading small-cap company in the water supply and management sector, has secured a significant order worth over ₹3,200 crore in Saudi Arabia. The company announced that it has won a consortium order for an independent sewage treatment plant in Riyadh that produces 200 million litres per day (MLD). The order, valued at $371 million (approximately ₹3,251 crore)
This marks the second major order Va Tech Wabag has secured in Saudi Arabia this year, further solidifying its regional presence.
The company has a proven track record of successfully executing similar projects in the Middle East, and this latest contract is expected to enhance its market position.
The engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) consortium for the project includes Va Tech Wabag and MGC. Under the agreement, Wabag will be responsible for the design and construction of the sewage treatment plant, while MGC will handle the construction of the transmission pipeline and reservoir.
This collaboration leverages the strengths of both companies to deliver a comprehensive solution for Riyadh’s wastewater management needs.
On February 10, 2025, Va Tech Wabag share price traded 5.30% higher at ₹1,438.30 at 9:48 AM (IST). Va Tech Wabag’s share price reached a 52-week high of ₹1,943.95 on December 09, 2024, and a 52-week low of ₹650.05 on March 14, 2024. As per BSE, the total traded volume for the stock stood at 0.47 lakh shares with a turnover of ₹6.96 crore.
At the current price, Va Tech Wabag shares are trading at a price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of 36.62x, based on its trailing 12-month earnings per share (EPS) of ₹39.28, and a price-to-book (P/B) ratio of 5.55, according to exchange data.
