Websol Energy’s stock hit a 52-week high after the company placed an order for equipment and made advance payments for a 600 MW cell line expansion at its Falta plant, with commercial production expected by July 2025.

Expansion Plan Details

As previously disclosed in the Board Meeting on October 29, 2024, the company has placed purchase orders for the required equipment and made advance payments for the project, the company said in a press release on the stock exchanges.

The new cell line is expected to be installed and commissioned in the first quarter of 2025-26, with commercial production anticipated to begin in July 2025.

Q2 FY25 Financial Highlights

For the quarter ending September 30, 2024, Websol Energy System reported a net profit of ₹41.98 crore, compared to a loss of ₹3.95 crore during the same period in the previous year.

Total income surged to ₹143.84 crore from just ₹0.30 crore a year ago, reflecting a substantial increase in business activity.

The company’s EBITDA margin also showed a strong improvement in the second quarter of fiscal 2025, driven by higher revenue, indicating efficient cost management and a robust operational performance.

Share Price Performance

On December 24, 2024, Websol Energy’s share price rose by 2.06%, reaching ₹1,824.90 at 12:30 PM on the BSE. The stock opened at ₹1,825, higher than its previous close of ₹1,785.35, and hit a new 52-week high of ₹1,853.75 in early trade.
