Incorporated in March, 1983 as Contech (India) Private Ltd, the company became a deemed public company w.e.f from July, 1993. The company was again reconverted into a private limited company in April, 1995. The company was converted into a public limited company w.e.f from November, 1999 and the name of the company was changed to Contech Software (CSL). The company was in the business of software development of telecom technologies, business applications and embedded solutions. At present it offers services in three strategic areas of software technologies of E-commerce and Business Applications, Control and Real Time Applications, and Telecom Technologies. The development processes of the company are certified as ISO 9001 compliant. The company has set up a wholly owned subsidiary company titled Contech Technologies America Inc. incorporated in USA in July, 1999 with an capital of US $ 5000. The name of the subsidiary was changed to Contech America Inc on August, 1999. CSL is comming out with a public issue of 13,80,000 equity shares of Rs 10/- each for cash at a premium of Rs 50/- per share and 2,00,000 equity shares of Rs 10/- each at a premium of Rs 65/- per share for firm allotment to promoter group.
