About Sharp Investments
The Company was incorporated as Sharp Investments Limited (SIL) on 28th November, 1977 under the Companies Act, 1956 in the State of West Bengal. SIL obtained certificate of Commencement of Business pursuant to Section 149(3) of the Companies Act, 1956 from the Registrar of Companies, West Bengal vide certificate dated 4th January, 1978.
The company was formed with an object to carry on the business of investment in shares & securities etc. and obtained registration with RBI as a Non-Banking Financial Company (`NBFC`). The company was originally incorporated by Mr. Dibakar Chatterjee, Mr. Madan Chand Jain and Mr. Birdhi Chand Jain with an intention to venture into investment sector. At present the company is predominantly engaged into loan and investment in shares.
Later on, in the year 2006 Mr. Sagar Mal Nahata, Ms. Kanak Nahata, M/s. S M Nahata (HUF),in the year 2009 Mr. Siddharth Nahata, acquired majority stake in the company and assumed control over the company.
