The company fitness centres are in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Mumbai, Thane, Cochin, Vijayawada, Secunderabad, Jaipur, Indore, Kolkata, Nagpur, and Vizag. The company was originally incorporated on April 24, 2003 as Talwalkars Better Value Fitness Pvt Ltd. In June 30, 2003, the company acquired and took over the entire business as a going concern of Talwalkars Health Unlimited, a partnership firm of the promoters. In September 2003, the company made an agreement for purchase of business of Talwalkar Omnifitness Private Limited situated at Ulsoor, Bangalore. In June 15, 2005, the company executed a franchisee agreement with Pinnacle Fitness Private Limited for 2 gymnasiums located at NCR. In August 2005, it also executed franchisee agreements with Kandarkar & Shinde Associates and Equinox Wellness Private Limited for gymnasiums located at Navi Mumbai and Kolkata respectively. In August 6, 2006, the company executed a joint venture agreement with Palestra Enterprises Pvt Ltd for running a joint venture in the name of Denovo Enterprises Pvt Ltd and in August 10, 2006, it executed a franchisee agreement with Denovo Enterprises Pvt Ltd for gymnasiums located at Jaipur and Indore. In October 5, 2006, the company entered into a joint venture agreement with Pantaloon Retail (India) Ltd for running a joint venture in the name of 'Talwalkars Pantaloon Fitness Pvt Ltd. During the year 2008-2009, the company commenced a dormitory and training academy at Thane. In June 24, 2008, it entered into an agreement for the purchase of business of Talwalkars Health Commune situated at Chembur, Mumbai and in July 15, 2008, it entered into another agreement for the purchase of business of Club Business Systems at Nungumbakkam, Chennai. In September 17, 2008, the company executed a franchisee agreement with Jyotsna Shinde & Associates for gymnasium located at Byramji Town, Nagpur. In October 1, 2009, the company became a public limited company the name of the company was changed to Talwalkars Better Value Fitness Ltd. In November 5, 2009, the company signed an MoU with Life Fitness India Private Limited for setting up additional gyms.
