How to link Aadhaar to the Demat Account step-by-step

Visit NSDL’s website and select the option to link Aadhaar to Demat.

Step 1

Provide name and DP ID; the portal will ask for a verification code. Following that, click on ‘Proceed’ for the next step.

Step 2

Verify the OTP sent to the  registered mobile number. Confirm the Demat account details  shown on the screen before proceeding to the next step.

Step 3

Enter the 12 digit Aadhaar number and date of birth (DOB), and then proceed.

Step 4

A second OTP will be generated for the number registered with Aadhaar.  Verify the OTP and press ‘Submit.’

Step 5

That’s it! A confirmation SMS and email will be sent to the individual.
