On June 27, 2024, Infosys Ltd informed the stock exchanges that Infosys BPM, the business process management arm of the company, inaugurated its second facility at the Montana Industrial Park in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.

This newly established facility, supported by a US$2,00,000 investment and aided by the Puerto Rico Economic Incentive Fund administered by the Department of Economic Development and Commerce (DDEC), will create 325 additional jobs, supplementing the existing workforce of 300 employees.

The company stated that the new office will enable Infosys BPM to expand its capacity to serve more clients in the healthcare, aerospace, financial services, telecommunications and insurance industries. This will create employment opportunities for local talent skilled in knowledge-based data processing and customer service, contributing significantly to the island’s northwest region’s economy.

Speaking of this development, the Honorary Secretary of the DDEC, Manuel Cidre, said, “This second Infosys centre will continue to provide services to local and global clients in the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, with highly qualified professionals who work at the forefront of innovation and technology. It is another step forward towards accelerating growth across industries in Puerto Rico, which will strengthen its position in the global market.”

Honorary Julio Roldan Concepcion, Mayor of Aguadilla, stated, “We are delighted to continue to host Infosys BPM and are confident that this new facility will contribute significantly to the local economy. Infosys BPM has always added value to Aguadilla’s economic landscape.”

The CEO and Managing Director of Infosys BPM, Anantha Radhakrishnan, said, “Our expanded new facility in Puerto Rico is another significant step towards accelerating innovation for global companies, as Infosys BPM continues to be laser-focused on providing value from great processes and compelling experiences. On June 28, 2024, the share price of Infosys Ltd opened at ₹1,572.55, touching the day’s high at ₹1,588.50, as of 12:13 PM on the NSE.
