JSW Group, Sharika Smartec, and MSRIT to Launch JSW Center of Excellence for Smart Grid

Sharika Enterprises Limited announced that its subsidiary, Sharika Smartec, has entered into a triparty Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with JSW Group and MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT).

MSRIT is an autonomous private engineering institute affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University and approved by the Karnataka State Government. The collaboration aims to transform conventional power systems into flexible power systems through innovative solutions. This partnership will establish the JSW Center of Excellence (JSW-COE) for Smart Grid technologies on the MSRIT campus in Bengaluru.

According to the agreement, JSW Group will provide financial support for the JSW-COE, while MSRIT will play a crucial role in establishing and hosting the centre. Sharika Smartec will serve as the knowledge partner, assisting in establishing, operating, and maintaining the JSW-COE.

All three parties will leverage their combined strengths to promote continuous learning, skill development, and knowledge enhancement for operational staff, engineers, and management professionals.

The Center of Excellence will serve as a robust platform for training and development, introducing innovative learning modules such as “Lab as a Service” for future engineering professionals. It will also support startups by providing testing and consultative services, fostering continuous learning and skill enhancement in the rapidly evolving power systems field.

With the rise of AI, deep learning, big data, blockchain, networking, and automation, innovative solutions in power and energy systems have become critical. The JSW Center of Excellence at MSRIT will address this demand by offering advanced learning, design, development, and implementation capabilities in Smart Grid and Flexible Power Systems.

By focusing on Smart Grid Power System training, the JSW Center of Excellence will equip engineers, graduates, and technical staff with advanced skills and knowledge, ultimately enhancing the production of skilled manpower and promoting professional development within the energy sector.

Located at M S Ramaiah Nagar, MSRIT Post in Bengaluru, the JSW Center of Excellence will operate as a hub for innovative research, training, and development in power systems, ultimately contributing to the industry’s growth and advancement.
