Previously known as the National Buildings Construction Corporation, NBCC (India) Limited is a public sector entity operating under the Indian government’s Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
On Monday, December 16, NBCC (India) Ltd. announced that it has secured 2contracts with a total value of ₹489.6 crore. The first contract, valued at ₹459.6 crore, is from the Chhattisgarh Department of tribal and scheduled caste welfare. This project involves the construction of Eklavya Model residential schools at various locations in Chhattisgarh, including Bastar, Sukma, Dantewada, Narayanpur, Rajnandgaon, and Jashpur.
The 2nd contract, amounting to ₹30 crore, is awarded by the Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya National Institute for Persons With Physical Disabilities in New Delhi. This project entails the construction of a permanent composite regional centre building at Jamdoli, Jaipur.
Last week, NBCC also secured several construction contracts totalling ₹9,445 crore across 4Indian states: Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, and Karnataka.
For the second quarter of FY25 in the current fiscal year, NBCC reported a total income of ₹2,525.95 crore, an increase from ₹2,134.36 crore in the same quarter last year. The company also observed a 53% rise in consolidated net profit, reaching ₹125.13 crore for the September quarter, compared to ₹81.90 crore in the previous year.
At 3:17 PM today, the share price of NBCC (India) Ltd. was trading at ₹100.69 per share on the NSE.
