From the ₹25 crore expected through the fresh issue, ₹16.64 crore will be used for capital expenditure. This includes the acquisition of commercial vehicles and heavy equipment. The remaining funds will go toward general corporate purposes.

Allotment Structure

The IPO will be offered through the book-building process. According to the DRHP, 50% of the issue will be allocated to qualified institutional buyers (QIBs), 15% to non-institutional investors, and 35% to retail individual investors.

Smart Horizon Capital Advisors Pvt. Ltd. is acting as the book-running lead manager for the issue. Bigshare Services Pvt. Ltd. has been appointed as the registrar. The shares are proposed to be listed on both the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

Financials

In FY24, the company reported a revenue of ₹410.5 crore and a net profit of ₹10.35 crore. For the July-September quarter of FY25, revenue stood at ₹250.29 crore and net profit at ₹13.22 crore. The company’s net worth as of September 30, 2024, was ₹164.72 crore.

Om Freight has operations in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, and the UK, and serves over 700 destinations globally.

These products are currently available in the UK market and are positioned in therapeutic areas that address specific treatment needs.

Lupin’s Existing UK Business

Kirloskar Oil Engines Bags ₹270 Crore Order from Defence Ministry

The Indian Navy has signed a ₹270 crore agreement with Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd (KOEL) for the design and development of a 6 MW medium-speed marine diesel engine. The project falls under the ‘Make-I’ category, where the government will fund 70% of the total cost. The engine will have over 50% indigenous content, as specified by the Ministry of Defence (MoD).

Purpose and Application

Fortis Healthcare Secures Fortis Trademark Ownership For ₹200 Crore

Fortis Healthcare Limited has officially acquired ownership of the ‘Fortis’ trademark following a long-standing legal dispute. The case, originally linked to an arbitration award in favour of Daiichi Sankyo Company Limited, resulted in the sale of the Fortis Marks to Fortis Healthcare for ₹200 crores.

The legal conflict began with an arbitral award issued in April 2016 by a Singapore tribunal, which ruled in favour of Daiichi Sankyo against multiple respondents, including RHC Holding Private Limited. As part of the decree enforcement, the Supreme Court of India ordered in September 2022 that assets linked to the erstwhile promoters, Malvinder and Shivinder Mohan Singh, be made available for auction under the Delhi High Court’s supervision.

On October 29, 2024, the Delhi High Court directed a public auction for the Fortis Marks to settle the decree against Daiichi Sankyo. The auction took place on December 21, 2024, where Fortis Healthcare emerged as the highest bidder with a ₹200 crore offer. Despite objections raised by RHC Healthcare regarding valuation and auction procedures, the Delhi High Court upheld the sale in its final judgment on March 25, 2025.

Confirmation of Ownership and Future Implications

With the court’s confirmation, Fortis Healthcare now holds complete ownership of the Fortis Marks, along with all associated rights and liabilities. The company is free to register the trademark under its name in official records. The next step in the legal proceedings includes finalising the sale deed, scheduled for April 16, 2025.

Maharashtra Introduces 15% Tax Rebate on New Vehicle Purchases with Voluntary Scrapping of Old Ones

In a significant move aimed at encouraging vehicle owners to phase out older, polluting vehicles, the Maharashtra cabinet has approved a new tax rebate scheme. According to an official statement from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), vehicle owners who voluntarily scrap their old vehicles at authorised facilities will be eligible for tax concessions of up to 15% when purchasing a new vehicle of the same category.

Scope of the Tax Rebate Scheme

The initiative provides tax relief to both transport and non-transport vehicle owners who retire their vehicles voluntarily at a Registered Vehicle Scrappage Facility (RVSF). The scheme is designed to promote responsible vehicle disposal while supporting the purchase of cleaner, newer models.

Details of the Tax Concession

For Transport Vehicles:

  • A 10% tax rebate will be applicable if a transport vehicle is voluntarily scrapped within eight years of its registration.
  • For transport vehicles subject to annual tax, a 15% concession per year will be applicable for eight years from the date of registration of the new vehicle.
  • A 15% lump sum tax rebate is applicable for transport vehicles that are taxed on a one-time basis.

For Non-Transport Vehicles:

  • A 10% tax rebate is applicable for non-transport vehicles voluntarily scrapped within 15 years of registration.
  • Non-transport vehicles under annual taxation will be granted a 15% concession annually for 15 years from the new vehicle’s registration date.
  • A 15% lump sum tax rebate is also applicable for non-transport vehicles taxed under a lump sum structure.

Conditions and Validity

Certificate of Deposit:
Owners who scrap their vehicles at an RVSF will receive a Certificate of Deposit, which acts as proof for availing the rebate. This certificate will be valid for 2 years from the date of issue.

Same Vehicle Category Requirement:
The rebate will only apply when the new vehicle purchased is of the same category—be it a 2-wheeler, 3-wheeler, or light motor vehicle—as the one scrapped.

Time Frame for Eligibility:
The scrapping must occur within 3 years from the publication date of the official notification to be eligible for the concession.

Government’s Intent Behind the Scheme

While the scheme does not make scrapping compulsory, it is clearly a strategic initiative to promote cleaner, safer, and more fuel-efficient vehicles across Maharashtra. It also supports the formalisation of vehicle scrapping through RVSFs, ensuring environmentally responsible disposal of end-of-life vehicles.

Gland Pharma Limited has secured approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for its Acetaminophen Injection. This pain-relief medication will be available in two dosages and is set for market launch soon.

This product comes in two dosages: 500 mg/50 mL and 1000 mg/100 mL, and it is equivalent to a similar drug by B. Braun Medical, Inc.
