Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.
US Stocks showed a significant recovery over the course of the trading day on Friday. The major averages climbed well off their worst levels of the day before ending the session mixed. While the Dow was down by 0.3 percent to 25106 the Nasdaq inched up by 0.1 percent to 7298.
U.K. markets closed on a highly negative note on Friday extending losses from previous session amid mounting worries about global growth due to the ongoing U.S.China trade tensions. The FTSE 100 was down by 0.3% to 7071.
On domestic front Indian shares fell sharply on Friday with Tata Motors dismal performance in the third quarter of the current fiscal and weak global cues weighing on markets heading into the weekend. During the trading session the BSE Sensex fell by 1.2% to 36546.
