Indian markets are likely to open Neutral tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.
After an early move to the upside stocks gave back some ground over the course of the trading session on Wednesday but managed to end the day modestly higher. With the uptick on the day the Dow reached a new record closing high. The Dow was up by 0.7 percent to 30409 and the Nasdaq rose by 0.5 percent to 12870.
U.K. stocks held steady on Thursday as speculation grew that a Brexit trade deal was imminent. A stronger pound was keeping gains in check. The benchmark FTSE 100 inched down by 0.7 per cent to 6555.
Despite some early weakness and a setback around early afternoon after a modest recovery the Indian stock market rebounded and closed on a positive note on Wednesday extending gains to a sixth day. The benchmark SP BSE Sensex rose by 0.3 percent to 47746.
