The World Trade Organization (WTO) is a highly influential international government organization with over 120 member countries. Its primary objective is to regulate and improve the global trade system. Established in 1994, the WTO serves as the successor to the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT). Its headquarters is located in Geneva, Switzerland. It is worth noting that while the Soviet Union was a member of GATT, Russia has yet to join the WTO.
