Business Trust

A trust is a type of entity that typically generates cash flows from a single operating company, as opposed to an investment fund which generates income from a variety of assets. Within a trust, there are debt and equity interests held in a specific business. Companies with these qualities may choose a trust structure for its tax benefits instead of a traditional corporate structure.
